About Master Kim
Master Kim's History

Duke Kim began studying martial arts at the age of five. He started with Taekwondo, Judo and wrestling, competing throughout elementary school, middle school, high school and college. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in physical education at Chung-Ang University(2002) in Seoul, South Korea. While in South Korea, Kim was discharged in the Republic of Korea Special Warfare Command Team 707, Korea Delta Force, #653 (2005). He was a presidential security service agent (2007) for the 16th President (Roh Moo-Hyun).
Kim tackled his Judo coaching course with executives from Wasada University(2008) in Tokyo, Japan. After more intense training, Kim began competing in Taekwondo and Judo competitions around the country until earning an invitation to the United States. In 2009, Yong-In Tiger Martial Arts hired him as a Head instructor, during which, he and his students brought home the gold medal. 
Duke Kim has a certified degree in Taekwondo from Kukkiwon (Black Belt 6th Degree, Apr 2013) and a certified degree in Judo from the Korea Judo Association (Black Belt 4th Degree, Nov 2013).
  Master Kim has now blended all of these training disciplines together to create an academy that will bring you realistic and practical self defense for men, women, and children.
