While Tae-Kwon-Do focuses on how to defend from a distance and use your strength against your opponent, Judo, which translates to "The Gentle Way," teaches how to use your opponent's strength against him/herself and attack when in close contact.
This means a weaker person has a chance of defending against a larger opponent. This is done through a series of throws, grappling, falling, and rolling techniques. Judo students will learn how to use techniques instead of relying on strength alone.
Our Judo program includes:
· Falling Techniques
· Rolling
· Grappling/Wrestling
· Throwing
· Stamina and Muscular Endurance
· Japanese and Korean Language
